What we can and cannot see
The app has no server, so we cannot look at your help center, your findings or your settings. Support works from what you send us. The Settings backup export (thresholds, domains, rules) and the Activity log text are usually enough to reproduce a problem on our side with sample data.
Known limitations in version 1.0.0
- One brand per account: the help center of the subdomain you are signed in to. Multi-brand is planned for the Business plan.
- External links behind login walls, bot protection or slow servers are reported as unverified, not broken. Only 404 and 410 answers count as broken.
- Saving an article body through the Zendesk API converts content blocks (Guide Enterprise) into plain content; the app warns and prefers metadata-only fixes.
- Archived articles cannot be restored by the app's undo; use Guide, Manage articles, Archived.
- Undo history lives in the session and is lost when the tab closes; snapshot files are permanent.
- Documents hold up to 200 articles. PDF is produced by your browser's print dialog, so page size and margins come from there. Images in Word documents are embedded only when publicly reachable.
- Templates, settings and the scan cache are stored per browser; share them with the export and import buttons.
- Free plan: 200 articles, default language, 50 external links per scan, no writes.
Feature requests
Send them to the same address with a sentence on the problem you are trying to solve. Requests that fit the app's rule of "nothing leaves your account" are the most likely to be built. The changelog shows what has shipped.
Security
If you believe you have found a security issue in the app or this site, email support@helpcenterdoctor.app with "Security" in the subject. Please give us a reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it publicly. We do not run a bug bounty but will credit you in the changelog if you wish.
Zendesk-side problems
If Zendesk itself is slow or down, the app will show timeouts and rate-limit messages. Check Zendesk's status page and try again later; nothing needs to be done on the app's side.
